Mission Media for West Africa

The SIM West Africa Missions Office is a partnering and processing office in West Africa. It exists to mobilize and partner with the West African Church, individual Christians, and other mission agencies for the sole purpose of Global Mission. So far 20 missionaries (doctors, pastors and administrators) have been sent to 5 different countries and more than 20 are currently applying to go out. Amongst them is a couple from Sierra-Leone who are raising support to go to Glasgow, Scotland to work amongst immigrants in partnership with a church.

Looking at West Africa, SIM believes that many more mission partners could be sent into the global mission force to reach many more unreached communities where Christ is least known. Many of our mission partners are coming from English-speaking countries of West Africa like Nigeria and Ghana, but we are keen to mobilize francophone personnel for ministry in francophone North African countries and communities. 

To achieve this goal, a lot of mobilization has already taken place, but more is needed to be done. We have been part of consultations, conferences and exhibitions and we need to attend more of such so we can create awareness of the needs and opportunities.

The 1000 brochures in English and French printed in 2019 have been used up, and a new edition is now required for 2020 and beyond. These could reach many different places where WAMO management might not be able to get to because of logistics travel costs.

The brochures will be used during exhibitions at missions’ programs in churches or conferences organized by our partners that we will have opportunity to introduce WAMO
