Shalom

Shalom Ngoningeh is a 33 years old Cameroonian. He was born to Muslim parents who raised him according to Islamic norms. But thanks be to God’s tender mercy and abundant grace, Shalom came to the saving knowledge and obedience of Christ as His Personal Lord and Saviour in 2010. 

 

Shalom studied Law at the University of Yaoundé II, Pastoral ministry at George Whitefield College, Cape Town, and Practical Theology at The Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, where he obtained a Master of Theology in Pastoral Care and Counseling/Christian Preaching.

 

Shalom served as a preacher on short-term missions in different local churches in Nigeria, Cameroon, South Africa, and Gabon. He has been a sojourner in the last decade, which made it challenging for him to build a substantial relationship with a local church that could support him.  

 

Having observed and experienced the reality of human suffering, the Holy Spirit ignited an inner compulsion, love, and compassion in his heart for the unreached people groups of Japan. Being fully persuaded by the leadership of the  Holy Spirit to serve in mission, Shalom responded by initiating an inquiry with OMF in 2019. 

 

God willing, Shalom hopes to embark on an initial three months placement to Japan with OMF beginning in November 2023. This would be with a view of then applying for long-term ministry. Shalom is passionate about preaching the Gospel to people of all races and religions with a focus on evangelism, church planting, church revitalization, discipleship, and theological training to enhance the growth of indigenous churches and build the faith of the indigenous peoples to witness the Good News to their brethren effectively.
