For over a decade, the Joint Christian Services International’s Child Development Center in Khovd has been a lifeline for Kazakh children—a marginalized minority in western Mongolia.

These children speak only Kazakh at home, making Mongolian-speaking schools a daunting challenge, leading to high dropout rates and academic struggles. Additionally, many of these children also have functional limitations and disabilities, putting them at risk of lifelong disadvantage. The centre provides them with Kazakh-speaking teachers, a safe learning space, and daily nutritious meals—often their only healthy meal of the day.

To ensure their safety and access to education, the centre urgently needs to purchase a used nine-seater minibus (£6,000), allowing children from peri-urban yurt districts to reach the center—especially during Mongolia’s harsh winters when temperatures drop below -20°C and pollution makes travel dangerous.

We are seeking to raise £3,000 towards this essential need. Your support can change lives, providing education, security, and hope for these vulnerable children.
