Myanmar Earthquake Appeal

You will have heard or seen the news about the devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar and Thailand last month. The images and videos vividly capture the devastating power of this natural disaster, but they cannot fully convey the immense impact on the thousands of lives affected—those who have tragically lost loved ones, suffered injuries, or been left without homes and livelihoods.

At match4mission, we are raising funds to support relief efforts through OMF. Thanks to the generosity of donors, we have already collected over £3,500 as of 1st April. Our goal is to reach £10,000 to provide much-needed aid to those in need. All donations will be transferred to where the greatest and most urgent needs are, without any deductions for administration.

Our OMF colleagues who are based in Yangon, frequently travel to Mandalay and Sagaing—the two cities hardest hit by the earthquake. These areas were already suffering from the effects of a prolonged civil war, with countless individuals displaced or left destitute after having their harvests and livelihoods seized by military forces. Over the years, our friends have built teams of dedicated volunteers trained to distribute aid effectively. These teams are now responding to the dire needs of the people affected by this disaster.
